While the YSR50 has become relatively commonplace here in the United States, its successor – the TZM50R – is a far-sight rarer. Yamaha released the bike in an effort to rival Honda’s highly successful NSR50.
The TZM’s 49cc two-stroke engine was good for 7 horsepower and 4.5lb-ft of torque — more than output enough to move the little bike’s 170-pound heft. Unlike many other small-displacement singles, it sported an electric start and a set 12″ wheels with disc brakes front and rear.
This example is VIN: 4KJ082903. The seller acquired the bike from us here at Iconic! He has since decided that the bike is not for him.
The odometer shows 3,318 kilometers (2,061 miles).
