If you want Italian style with big power, the Bimota SB6 is sure to please. Bimota wrapped Suzuki’s reliable and tunable, liquid-cooled, 1074cc inline four in a rigid frame and lightweight bodywork, shaving nearly 100lbs from the speedy (but heavy) GSX-R in the process. This thing is fast even by modern standards, with a tested top speed of over 170mph! It truly is the best of both worlds: Suzuki power means endless tuning options and easy parts availability; Bimota design means low weight, nimble handling, and incredible exclusivity. Around 1,100 units were produced and — as is typical of Bimota — the SB6 was loaded with the very best components. Straight from the factory it featured Brembo brakes, an Öhlins shock, Paioli forks, and carbon fiber throughout.
This example is VIN: SB600550, Engine #: U712-100394. The seller acquired the bike approximately two years ago; he has since kept it stored in a climate-controlled garage.
The odometer shows 1,788 kilometers (1,111 miles). Per the seller: “It’s clearly one of the lowest mileages in Europe (confirmed by Bimota Classic).”
When the seller acquired the bike, it was covered with a sheet and was missing the front fairing/turn signals/mirrors. He replaced those with “original carbon fiber parts from Bimota Classic” and had them resprayed.
Maintenance:
According to the seller, the fluids, spark plugs, and filters have all been replaced. Additionally, the carbs have been cleaned and synced.
Modifications:
The seller states that this Bimota is completely stock.
Cosmetic Blemishes:
Per the seller, there are no significant cosmetic blemishes, simply age-appropriate wear.
It is riding on Michelin Hi-Sport Radial tires.
Currently located in Varois-et-Chaignot, Bourgogne, this Bimota is offered on a Swiss title. Have any SB6 stories or questions about this listing? Let us know in the “Comments” tab!
