2026-08-18 10:50:00 2026-08-18 11:00:00 America/Los_Angeles 1995 Ducati 900SS Panorama City, California - With its lightweight chassis, torquey V Twin, and upgraded SP specification, this 900SS captures the sweet spot of Ducati’s air cooled sportbike era. https://iconicmotorbikeauctions.com/auction/1995-ducati-900ss/ Iconic Motorbike Auctions concierge@iconicmotorbikes.com

Please note: VINData incorrectly labels this bike as a 2025 model. This is a known issue with VINData because the 10th digit of the VIN which denotes the model year is reused every 30 years.

In this piece on Cycle World, Peter Egan says that this 900SS is “the used motorcycle you need” and notes that “they made perfectly comfortable long-distance touring bikes, but on winding roads through the Black Hills, they metamorphosed back into sportbikes of deep finesse, with killer, real-world midrange and light, intuitive handling.”

Mikuni carbs fed the air-cooled 904cc air/oil-cooled V-Twin which was good for just under 80 horsepower. Combined with a dry weight of 414 pounds and classic Ducati styling, the 900SS was quite the commercial success—nearly 28,000 examples were produced during its seven-year run.

Befitting the Bologna-based motorcycle company, the 900SS was offered in the limited Sport Production (SP) trim. Compared to the standard model, the SP featured a wider 5.5-inch rear wheel, fully adjustable Showa suspension, carbon-fiber front fender and clutch cover, an aluminum swingarm in place of steel, and full-floating cast-iron front brake rotors.

This example is VIN: ZDM1LC4M2SB018585. The seller purchased it through Bring a Trailer in 2023 and has ridden approximately 250 miles during his ownership.
“I’ve been riding motorcycles for most of my adult life and wanted a Ducati 900SS/SP for many years. After purchasing this example through Bring a Trailer in 2023, I rode it sparingly while deciding whether to continue riding on the street. I ultimately sold my Moto Guzzi Le Mans Mk III and kept the Ducati, but I’ve decided it is time to retire from street riding and pass the bike on to its next owner.”

The odometer shows 19,096 miles.
