In 1986, Suzuki set the new standard in the sport bike class with the release of the first GSX-R750. 35 years later the GSX-R750 is not only still in production, it is the only 750 supersport being sold new today, adding to its storied history as one of the most successful motorcycles of all time. The formula was simple: a larger and more powerful 750 cc engine shoehorned into a 600 cc class chassis offering light weight and excellent handling.
This 1995 GSX-R750W represents the end of the line for the classic double cradle frame GSX-R models that brought so much sales success for Suzuki. Instantly recognizable, they are what one thinks of when you conjure up the image of a 1990’s sportbike with flashy paint, colored wheels, and bodywork that mimicked the GP race bikes of the day. Part of the reason for the Suzuki’s excellent sales numbers were the looks – performance was there as well – but the bike just looked fast, bold, and aggressive. Today these cradle frame GSX-R’s are becoming more sought after by those looking to restore, ride, and collect them.
The 1995 GSX-R750 was now in its fifth year of water cooling, the engine was putting out a solid 112 HP as its 16 valve DOHC inline 4 engine had seen a number of internal upgrades in 1994. Handling was sharp with 43mm inverted front forks and a modern, box type aluminum swingarm. The brakes were very good with six piston Tokico calipers biting down on 310mm rotors to slow everything down. The styling saw some changes in a new top fairing and different headlight. Weight was up due to added reinforcements in the frame but kept in check by use of magnesium on some engine parts. 1996 would mark a new direction for the GSX-R with a completely new bike, leaving this 1995 as the last in the line of the bikes that broke the mold.
Manufactured October 1994, this example is VIN: JS1GR7BA6S2101998. The seller purchased the bike from a private party five years ago. He is selling to downsize his collection.

Maintenance:
The seller states, “All original 1995 GSX-R750, the bike was in storage but quickly brought back to life after the following maintenance. Before bringing her back I check all the essentials, compression, spark and fuel. Compression was spot on across all 4. Tank was clean and carburetors were in great shape being the bike was stored with no gas but I still did a complete rebuild. After firing it up the bike is dialed in perfectly. The solo cowl is new old stock. The only thing I did not do is give it a good detailing. Mechanically it is perfectly sound, cosmetically it is decant. I welcome and will assist in an inspection. I owned the bike for approximately 5 years was on its way to becoming a garage queen. Over time I started to replaced numerous cosmetic parts that that appeared to dull or pitted. Every single part is NOS Suzuki. Also I added the rear grab bars, they were only available in Euro Spec bikes, these are factory.”
