Triumph’s Super III was a limited edition of the under-appreciated Daytona 900. Featuring engine tuning by Cosworth, they sold just 805 worldwide, 179 of which made it to the United States.
In addition to Cosworth’s touch, this bike got bigger cams, flat slide carbs, 6 piston front brakes, and a whole lot of carbon fiber. The results of the engine work yielded a healthy 115 horsepower, though the bike was too heavy to be a true sports bike. It instead ended up being a fantastic sport-tourer, and a bike you had to muscle around to have a lot of fun with.
This example is VIN: SMT372DD2SJ023862. The seller acquired it five months ago from an eBay auction.
The seller has put less than 5 miles on this bike – the odometer shows 10,425 miles.
Per the seller: “It was an impulse buy, but I have more bikes than I can reasonably ride and should have been selling and not buying. I love looking at her, but she needs to be ridden. I had Iconic take care of all of the maintenance needs, so add the tires of your choice and she will be good and safe to go!”
Maintenance:
In preparation for the listing, the seller had us replace the fork seals/fork oil, replace the brake pads, wash the front and rear rotors and calipers, bleed the clutch, clean/lube/adjust the chain, replace the air filter, and clean/sync the carbs. Yonni did the work, this is his condition report:
