Sold between ’89 and ’99, the FZR600 was an inline-four powered sportbike with a Deltabox frame. In many markets, this bike evolved into the “Foxeye” FZR/YZF, in 1994, though Yamaha kept selling this model for another 5 years.
Manufactured in November of 1994, this example is VIN: JYA3HHE09SA080713. The seller purchased this motorcycle in 2008 from an eBay auction.
During his ownership, the seller has ridden approximately 35,000 miles. The odometer shows 53,677 miles: “I had Speedhut program the old odometer reading when they made the new speedometer, and I did not ride the bike without the speedometer installed.” The seller is reducing their collection in preparation for a cross-country move.
The seller did a track day at Barber Motorsports Park in 2017 with this bike.
Maintenance:
The seller has installed a new battery, and replaced the chain and sprockets.
Modifications:
YZF600R rear swing arm and 17″ rear wheel.
Racetech Gold Valve Emulators. Per the seller: “ I lowered the triples on the forks by 1/2″ to account for the rear tire radius difference going from the old 18″ wheel to the new 17″ wheel.”
Yamaha Blue Dot brake calipers (YZF600R).
Stainless steel braided brake lines.
Not pictured: 2008 Yamaha R6 front brake master cylinder.
It is riding on Bridgestone Battlax BT-003R tires that have aged out.
The sale includes one key. “The original key was lost, and I happened to write down the key code before I lost it. In 2010, I was able to have Texas Yamaha in Webster, Texas cut me a new key based on the code. I still have the code which I can pass along to the new owner. The key works on the ignition, rear seat lock, and the helmet lock.”
