It feels as though we’ve been listing CBR900RRs every week for a couple of months, so this time let’s skip the history (except to remind you that Honda offered a Erion Racing tribute livery in 1996).
This example (VIN: JH2SC3305TM001839) is offered by the same seller who recently listed a fantastic 1998 Yamaha R1 with us.
He describes this bike as follows: “There are 1996 Honda CBR900RRs, and then there’s THIS 1996 Honda CBR900RR. Extensive restoration and some modifications that make this bike absolutely perfect as well as one-of-a-kind. There are subtle details that even a hardcore fan might miss; Tadao Baba would be proud. It’s got the better, albeit subtle, design elements of the SC28 with the mechanical improvements of the SC33 and it sports the forever so awesome Erion livery.”
Visual Condition:
“With the exception of a few minor (and when I say minor, I mean you really need a magnifying glass to see them) “scuffs”, this bike is cosmetically perfect.”
Mechanical Condition:
“This bike runs tremendously strong and is 100% mechanically sound. The only notable exception is an intermittent starter issue that is random and I’ve been looking into tracing the problem, but haven’t pulled the starter yet, so I’m not sure. The bike’s starter will sometimes hang.”
