More of a sport-tourer than an outright sportbike, the 1100 is a beautiful anomaly from the usual Guzzi fare of torque-y cruisers.
Visually, the Moto Guzzi Sport 1100 stood out from its Japanese competition because the proportions of plastics to engine made it look so low-slung and broad-shouldered – the middle linebacker of the sportsbike world.
Traditionalists shouldn’t worry as it still packs the trademark V-Twin, but in this incarnation the motor is surrounded by performance components:
Brembo brakes.
WP suspension.
Bitubo steering damper.
Marchesini alloy wheels.
The 1,064cc motor was good for 90 horsepower and 71 lb-ft of torque, and you can flirt with 140 miles per hour with the throttle pulled all the way back. For more information, check out this story on Motorcycle.com – they call it a “unique combination of old-world sensations and modern components.”
