The Bimota SB6R was an uprated version of the SB6, Bimota’s most popular bike – though for a niche Italian manufacturer, “popular” is a relative term (just 600 units rolled out of the factory). The SB6R was only produced from 1997-1998, and, in many eyes, it’s the pinnacle of classic Bimota motorcycles – the power of a Japanese engine with the style of an Italian chassis. In typical exotic fashion, though, you had to pay to play… even back in 1997, this bike would set you back $35,000!
The “S” of SB6R tells you that the engine for this bike came from Suzuki. Specifically, it was yanked from the Suzuki GSXR-1100 of the time. With Bimota-developed camshafts, it produced 156 horsepower — enough to propel the bike to a top speed of 175 miles per hour. It also came with some of the best components available at the time, including Paoli suspension, Brembo brakes, Marchesini wheels, and more.
This example is VIN: ZESSB6000TR000111. It came to Iconic as an import from Japan.
The odometer shows 20,958 kilometers (13,022 miles).

Currently located at our facility in Santa Monica, California (please make an appointment for an inspection), this Bimota is offered on a clean Tennessee title. Please note that as an import, this bike lacks certain compliance and emissions stickers that the state of California would require to transfer a title.
