After disappearing from the lineup between 1994-1996, the GSX-R600 came back in 1997 with all-new styling, GP-inspired alloy beam frame, as well as the introduction of Suzuki Ram Air Direct, the acronym of which became the nickname that everyone knew these bikes by: the SRAD.
Receiving positive reviews upon its release, the 600cc engine was good for 110 horsepower and 48ft-lbs. of torque. In their review, Bennetts praised the bike saying, “The GSX-R600 engine is a thrasher’s delight, hiding its true potency until the upper reaches of its rev range.”
Manufactured January 1997, this example is VIN: JS1GN78A3V2103389; Engine: N714108058. The seller purchased the bike January 2021 and states, “I adore SRADs and would have a building full if I could. I have a 750 also but the 600 is more light and nimble and more fun. (You’ll see the older you get).”
During his ownership the seller has covered approximately 200 miles. The odometer shows 10,558 miles.
Maintenance:
Per the seller, “Runs great! New battery – Dec 2021. New petcock – Oct 2022. New tires – Early 2023. New OEM chain & sprockets – Early 2023.”
Modifications:
According to the seller, the bike is stock.
It is riding on Dunlop Sportmax tires with date codes of 3022 and 4922.
