A limited edition of one of the prettiest motorcycles ever made, the Ducati 916SPS (Sport Production Special) was an uprated version that featured a modified engine and chassis. Nearly all the specifications were improved like Ohlins rear shocks and Showa front forks, as it was designed to be the ultimate 916.

This example (VIN: ZDM3SB5V7WB000666) is #279.

The seller acquired it one year ago from Speedart Motorsports in Miami, Florida. Since then he’s covered 201 miles. The odometer shows 2,662 miles.

Modifications:
The original owner spent just under $18,000 on upgrades on top of the almost $25,000 list price in 1998. I have the original receipt and dyno papers for the FBF upgrade showing 150 hp at the wheel from the now 1,026cc stroker motor. Plus I have extensive service records for the bike over its 23 year lifespan.”

This is one of very few examples that had FBF engine work when new, including:
Ferracci billet lightweight flywheel
Stage 3 EPROM chip
Stage 3 cams
Pankl Racing titanium rods
High pressure fuel regulator
Ported and polished heads
37mm Intake valves
31mm Exhaust valves
98mm 12:1 Compression piston kit
FBF power crank 68mm stroke

Renthal quick change rear sprockets carrier.

Corse rearsets.

54mm Ferracci Forza full stainless system.

Ohlins shock revalved with Hyperpro spring.

Ferracci billet clip-on handlebars.

Ducati Performance carbon fiber underseat oil vent tank, MS Production carbon fiber air intake runners.

MS Production carbon fiber swingarm cover.

Speedart Motorsports (the previous owner) added Dymag Carbon Fiber Wheels, Ducati Corse RS Slipper Clutch, NCR sprocket carriers, Poggipolini titanium fasteners, Samco hoses, and Spiegler cables with fittings.”

The seller has documentation for the following work, all done at Seacoast Sport Cycle in Derry, New Hampshire:
9/11/2020 – Electrical glitch repair (dash lights)
8/13/2020 – Full service
6/6/2020 – Clutch and brake fluid flush with new Yoyodyne clutch slave cylinder

He also had full ceramic paint protection done at Revolution Auto Salon in 8/31/2020, which includes a 5 year warranty.

The seller states that there are no cosmetic or mechanical issues.

He adds, “it comes with a dust cover and the original rear stand, plus extra carbon fiber side light delete fairings for racing, two keys, the original Ducati manual, and a Shorai battery tender for the lightweight lithium-ion battery. The electrical switch present on the bars for a Holeshot Electric Powershifter, but I can see no evidence that the ancillary unit is still fitted.

Currently located in Newfields, New Hampshire this Ducati is offered on a clean New Hampshire title.
