Sold between 1997 and 2005, the SuperHawk was sometimes in the shadow of the RC51. But if you were looking for a sporty street bike and not a trackday machine, it was an excellent choice that won a Cycle World Ten Best award and a “Sweet 16” (yes, with 16 challengers) Open Class sportbike comparison in 1997. It “was a sportbike you could ride all day without needing a six-pack of ibuprofen and a weekly appointment with your chiropractor.”

The 996cc 90-degree V-Twin produced about 100 horsepower and was great for street usage. Owners love the sound of the motor, spotless fueling (from the largest carbs Honda ever put on a street bike), reasonable ergonomics, and the Honda build quality. The only real complaint was fuel mileage, which can dip into the 20s if you’ve having too much fun.

Manufactured in November of 1997, this example is VIN: JH2SC3619WM000671, engine #: SC36E201741. The seller acquired the bike one month ago; it was an impulse buy and he has since found another bike that he prefers.

During his ownership, the seller has covered approximately 80 miles. The odometer shows 28,468 miles.

Maintenance:
Per the seller: “I have a stack of old receipts from services through the prior years from the previous owner. He told me he had it serviced six months prior to me purchasing it. I myself have had no services done. The bike is turn key and ready to go. Rides perfect.”
Modifications:
Erion Racing slip-on exhaust.

It is riding on Shinko Radial Advance and Dunlop Sportmax GPR-300 tires with date codes of 0216 and 0321.
