Description

Additional photos are available here for your perusal.

In 1999, Yamaha introduced its most advanced and race-ready production model ever with the YZF-R7, also known as the OW-02. Built in order to meet World Superbike Championship homologation rules, Yamaha only produced 500 units in total. While it may have bore a good deal of aesthetic resemblance to its 600cc and liter-sized YZF-R-siblings, underneath its slick bodywork the R7 was an entirely different beast.

This example is VIN: JYARM011000000353.

It is a rolling chassis – there is no engine.

We originally acquired it with stock bodywork and no motor, however we swapped it for bodywork from a custom R7 done by Clever Wolf Racing that we sold last year at the buyer’s request.

We were looking into installing a R1 motor but we don’t have the time and we need the space.

Modifications:
Marchesini forged aluminum wheels, Nissin calipers, Clever Wolf caliper mounts.

Brembo master clutch and brake cylinders, Renthal grips.

Zero Gravity windscreen.

Carbon fiber front and rear fenders.

Carbon fiber heel plate (right side only).

MRacing mirrors.

Inside of the tank:

It is riding on Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SP tires from 2019.

The sale includes two keys.

Currently located at our facility in Santa Monica, California (please make an appointment for an inspection), this Yamaha is offered on a Bill of Sale only. Have any questions about this listing? Let us know in the “Comments” tab!
