2026-05-06 09:50:00 2026-05-06 10:00:00 America/Los_Angeles 2000 BMW K1200RS Portland, Oregon - The final evolution of the flying brick drivetrain! https://iconicmotorbikeauctions.com/auction/2000-bmw-k1200rs/ Iconic Motorbike Auctions concierge@iconicmotorbikes.com

MCN summarized the K1200RS by saying it “carved its own niche as a superb high-speed distance bike that could carry a pillion and luggage too without breaking a sweat… build quality remains a strong point so big mileages are very possible.”

The K1200RS and GT were the final evolutions of the flying brick drivetrain, and it was a heavyweight sport-tourer that was BMW’s most powerful motorcycle to date. Basic specs were 130 horsepower, 85 lb-ft of torque, 587 pounds of weight, their first six-speed transmission, and lots of adjustable pieces for rider comfort – shifter, footpegs, and clipons.

This example is VIN: WB10554A8YZA52534. The seller purchased the bike in Portland, Oregon three years ago.

During their ownership, the seller has covered 8,000 miles. The odometer shows 26,427 miles.

Maintenance:
The seller states: “Full 12,000 mile service was done at the dealership at 18,000 miles. I also fitted a new factory windscreen. All fluids, tires, and brake pads were replaced at 25,000 miles.

Mechanical Issues:
The seller states: “The bike has no known mechanical issues.

Modifications:
The seller states: “When I bought the bike I replaced damaged bodywork from a tip over by the preview owner. I had the bike fully repainted immediately after I purchased it. It is an Ice Green Metallic Porsche color from the 1980’s. I cleaned and upgraded/reconditioned the entire bike it that time. Upgrades include Braided brake lines, EBC HH pads. Full Wilber’s suspension, new factory comfort seat. New paint, and the whale decals on the fairing are easily removable… but why would you want to?!”

Inside of the tank:

It is riding on Michelin Road 6 tires with date codes of 3824 and 1025.

The sale includes 1 ignition key, and the OEM The bags panniers, which the seller states are the “hard to find narrower city cases”.

Cosmetic Blemishes: please see the album in the “Photos” tab for all known cosmetic blemishes. Here is a selection:
