Sold between in 2000 and 2006 in two different versions, the RC51 has gone down as one of the most legendary motorcycles to ever come out of Honda, well-deserving of the “RC” designation that’s graced other famous Hondas like the RC30, RC40, and RC45.
With 133 horsepower, 71 ft-lb of torque, and Honda reliability, it was an absolute gem. Cycle World thinks this is one of the best used bikes you can buy, and we’d have to agree. This was Honda’s take on the V-Twin replica racer, beating Ducati at it’s own game with multiple World Superbike Championships and a AMA Championship.
This example (VIN: JH2SC4539YM000469) is offered by the original owner, who bought it new from Naults Powersports in Manchester, New Hampshire.
The odometer shows 7,339 miles.
The seller of this bike had it autographed by both Nicky Hayden and Miguel Duhamel on the tank and tail. The signatures have been clearcoated over for protection.
The sale includes photos from the signing. Please note that picture #2 shows a different bike signed the same day while picture #4 shows Duhamel signing this actual bike at the time (sticker with VIN shows on side of tank).
Modifications:
Double bubble windshield – stock included.
Per the seller, this RC51 has been “meticulously cared for and stored, never abused, with no falls or accidents.”
The sale includes two posters, both of which have also been signed.
The sale also includes two original keys and the original manual.
The seller notes that it will need a new battery. “I have not started the bike in two years. It does not have any gas in the tank (and hasn’t for those two years because I purposely ran it dry). The tank is clean though, no issues there.”
Currently located in Townsend, Massachusetts, this Honda is offered on a clean Massachusetts title.
