Description

Additional photos of this Kawasaki ZRX1100 are available here for your perusal.

Retro-inspired modern classics seem to be all the rage right now, but a few companies were well-ahead of the game. One such company was Kawasaki with their ZRX, a bike that Cycle World called a “a replica of a replica” as it was designed to make you think of the iconic 1982 Eddie Lawson Replica.

In 2010, Cycle World called the ZRX1100 a “Best Used Bike”, praising the bike for its styling and overall competence: “Kawasaki has built the best standard bike since standard bikes were standard.” The 1,052cc inline-four engine put down 96 horsepower and 70 lb-ft of torque to the rear wheel, good for a claimed top speed of 143 miles per hour.

This example is VIN: JKAZRBC13YA035015.

The odometer shows 32,671 miles.

The seller sums up his bike by saying that it’s a “great running ZRX1100 with 32k miles on the clock in a desireable and hard to find black color with gray accents. It’s never been down or dropped.”

Modifications:
4 into 1 exhaust with Muzzy titanium/carbon fiber can.

Sargent seat.

Heated grips, bar end mirrors.

Greg Couch fork brace.

Greg Couch sprocket cover.

Carbon fiber front fairing.

Not pictured are a Shorai lithium-ion battery and a tank bra.

Cosmetic Blemishes:
The seller notes “wear and tear in line with being a 21 year-old bike,” specifically calling out:

“Few very minor dings on tank. The paint is not damaged and they may be taken out by a professional paint dent remover.”

“The clear coat on front fairing is peeling but the carbon fiber is ok, can be resprayed with clear.”

“Seat wear on lower edges caused by coming in contact with rider’s legs.

The tire date codes are 2415 and 1116.

The seller states that there are no known mechanical issues. “It starts right up, doesn’t smoke or leak fluids. Fresh fork seals and carb clean few hundred miles ago. All lights work, including turn signals, headlamp and brakes.”

He is letting it go to make room for an Aprilia Tuono that he purchased from Iconic Motorbike Auctions. Currently located in Westlake Village, California, this Kawasaki is offered on a clean South Carolina title with no back fees. The seller adds that a “California VIN verification certificate will be provided with the documentation at the time of sale.” Have any ZRX stories or questions about this listing?
