An evolution of the incredible V7 Sport, this Moto Guzzi V11 Sport was a rare bruiser of a sportbike.
The air-cooled motor provided 80 horsepower to move around 546 pounds (wet) of distinctive styling – as Motorcyclist put it in their review, “this is how a motorcycle should be laid out, according to the eyes of a motorhead weaned on heavy American metal: a bank of cylinders (OK, a cylinder) jutting out at 45 degrees from either side, a big heavy engine block, a thick shaft driving the rear wheel(s). When you hit the starter, you know you’ve set something in motion.”
During his ownership, the seller has covered roughly 1,500 miles. There is no speedometer or odometer, true mileage is unknown. “It was previously registered at 11,000 miles.”
The seller notes that wet weight is 440 pounds.
Modifications/Original Build:
Removed the stock fuel injection for Keihin FCR carburetors.
Custom fuel cell with endurance filler cap holds roughly 1.5 gallons. Uses stock tank plastic modified as cover.
Marzocchi forks with rebound and compression, isolated in each fork.
Spiegler stainless steel brake lines, Galfer front rotor.
HyperPro rear shock.
Woodcraft clip-ons, Bitubo steering damper, Motion Pro throttle.
Racefit one-off exhaust.
Custom subframe and Red Tail Leathers saddle.
Modifications/Since Puchase:
11:1 high compression Fast by Ferracci Pistons, runs on pump gas. Head rebuilt with new valves. Added external oil cooler. Lithium battery. New fork seals. Swapped velocity stacks for pod filters, and jetted for Colorado altitude.
“I have invoices from 2 visits to Imperial Sport bikes for the head work and full bike refresh. The headlight has been intermittent and now out, but going into the shop for hopefully a quick repair.”
Cosmetic Blemishes – the seller notes the following:
Frame was stripped, some bare metal spots beginning to surface rust.
Pitting on fork tops.
Small scratches on tank, some bubbles small tears on decals.
Seat unit has small scratches.
Rash on left cylinder guard from a stationary drop when the bike was accidentally started in gear.
It is riding on Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa tires from 2016 and 2017.
The sale includes “all removed parts post current-owner purchase, 1 key, Guzziology manual, hand drawn wiring diagram, and original build receipts.”
Currently located in Denver, Colorado, this Moto Guzzi is offered on a clean Colorado title with registration which expired in July 2022.
