Description
To help aid you in valuing certain “iconic” motorbikes, we’re adding some of the machines we’ve sold before the auction site started!
This beautiful machine is brought to us by one of our clients at Iconic. He wants it to remain in his garage so we’re listing it for him and trying to find her a new home. If you’re interested and want to see it in person, give us a day or two notice and we will pick her up and have her ready for you when you arrive at our shop.
Continuing with our effort to bring you the rarest bikes or “not so common motorbikes”, maybe just bikes that you won’t see at a light with 2-3 others! If that’s your goal, to have something different and exceptionally capable of keeping up with the crowd (if not passing them up) then this is your girl! The present owner describes it best:
This particular model was never offered in the US and is exclusive to Europe and Japan only. This bike is located in Southern California, titled in my name, registered, and insured in the state of California.
The SP premium package was offered exclusively in Europe and Japan from 99-01′ only, and in 2000 only, included a Kenny Roberts special speed block paint scheme, stitched supportive comfort seat, Ohlins rear piggy-back shocks, as well as stiffer front springs for enhanced handling. The XJR1300SP is already becoming a collector bike overseas – particularly these early carbureted models.
I have serviced the bike thoroughly and it is in perfect mechanical order – turn key, new tires etc. , and no disappointments. Lots of fun right out of the box.
Low original kilometers (KM speedometer) – about 19k miles, and counting. The original Yamaha Purplish-Blue paint is in great shape as well. Bike also includes a rare 3/4 fairing, as well as a full black body kit, including tank.
The XJR continued the XS, XJ, FJ and FJR Yamaha lineage, combining tremendous performance, handling, and comfort, in an air-cooled, brutal naked, muscle-bike package. Smooth on-demand torque, nimble enough for the track, and great for those long weekend tours.
