Back in 2001, Moto Guzzi introduced the V11 Le Mans as a spiritual successor to its iconic 850 racer. The bike featured the marque’s tried-and-true transverse 1100cc V-Twin, and it wore swooping bodywork that was as classic as it was Italian in its cafe racer aesthetic.

What’s more, Moto Guzzi fitted the bike with a plethora of trick parts, including a set of 40mm Marzocchi upside-down forks, a Sachs shock, and some Brembo brakes front and rear. As you’d expect with a Guzzi, the V11 Le Mans was heavy – to the tune of nearly 500lbs dry.

All-out performance wasn’t the model’s MO, though. Rather, Moto Guzzi designed the bike to be a sporty-yet-comfortable roadster with smooth handling and predictable power. It made some 91hp at 7,800rpm with the 69.3lb-ft of torque coming in slightly earlier at 6,000rpm. On the road, this meant that it topped out at 135mph. Thanks to the large 5-gallon fuel tank, Le Mans riders could cover 200 miles between fill-ups.

Per MCN, “If you want an old-school Italian heavyweight with 21st century components, finish and style, look no further than the Moto Guzzi V11.”

This example is VIN: ZGUKRAKR32M114776, Engine #: 016046.
