Description

Please Note: We’ve had some questions/comments about this so we just want to make sure it’s crystal clear – as noted in the listing title, this is a MV Agusta F4 750, it is not a SPR (SPRs were not in production when the movie I, Robot was filmed). The movie bikes were created to look like the SPR for promotional purposes. Please let us know if you have any questions.

Additional photos are available here for your perusal.

At the turn of the millennium, the MV Agusta brand was revived with the release of a new flagship, the 750cc F4. Penned by the great Massimo Tamburini, the F4 boasted a ground-breaking design that redefined the modern superbike. In the years that followed, the F4 underwent a series of revisions and model updates, though the bike’s incredible aesthetics went largely unchanged.

Underneath the proverbial hood, MV fitted the bike with a sonorous transverse four-cylinder capable of pumping out a hearty 126 horses and 52.8 lb-ft of torque.

What’s more, the engine was surrounded by quality components such as 49mm Showa front forks, a Sachs rear shock, and a set of Nissin brakes. Ultimately, however, it was the styling that proved the bike’s pièce de résistance — particularly the quad organ pipe exhaust.

This example is VIN: ZCGAGFLJ51V200002. This particular example was used in the 2004 movie I, Robot. The seller acquired it four years ago from a private party.

A plaque in the triple tree states that this is a “SPR iROBOT” #2/3. The seller has spoken with (and has text messages from) a former employee of Fast by Ferracci confirming that FBF made 5 bikes for the movie. 3 were F4s and 2 were dirt bikes with MV plastics for certain stunts. One of the F4s was crashed during filming, the other two were returned to Ferracci and employees at the time bought them. Said employees made the custom triple tree badges and the other employee still has “#1 of 3.”

During his ownership, the seller has not ridden the bike. The odometer shows 5,991 miles.

Maintenance:
The seller states, “It has primarily been stored inside my house as a display. When not in the house it is kept in a heated and cooled garage. I’ve changed the oil, drained the tank, refilled with non ethanol VP 94, and started the bike regularly. If the new owner plans to ride it, the bike is definitely going to need tires and a stem to stern once over on general principal, there may be some mechanicals that need to be addressed.”

Modifications:
Faux SPR livery.

Fast by Ferracci stickers on original exhaust.

Inside of the tank:

It is riding on Michelin Pilot Power tires with date codes of 3004 and 3804.

Cosmetic Blemishes:
Per the seller, ” This was a movie bike that got hammered and repainted a number of times. That said, it looks exactly like it should.
