ICONIC PROJECTS: if you follow us on Instagram (and you should!), you know that we’ve recently partnered up with Kamikaze Motorsports in Glenwood, Iowa. One of the many new services that will be coming from our partnership is a series of project bikes for those of you that like to tinker or are looking for a lower entry price to a bike you’ve always wanted for our White Glove service to fix up on your behalf.
Additional photos are available here for your perusal.
The 2001 Suzuki Bandit 1200S featured all new upper fairing styling, a new headlight, lighter gauges, revised engine tuning and a host of other small improvements that all added up to making it one of the best all around big bore street bikes on the market at the time.
Powered by a stout 1,157cc air and oil cooled inline four that makes nearly a 100 horsepower along with a lot of usable torque in the middle of the RPM range the Bandit is well suited to street duty where high rev screaming sportbikes fall short.
This example is VIN: JS1GV77A322101414.
The odometer shows 46,360 miles.
Modifications:
This Bandit 1200S appears mostly factory original save for a red-colored aftermarket chain.
Cosmetic Blemishes:
Minor rash on the exhaust can.
There are aftermarket “Suzuki” decals on both sides of the tail cowl.
Rash on right side engine timing cover.
Boot marks and wear on left side of the frame.
The tank is clean on the inside, the battery is good and this Bandit is currently in running condition.
Currently located at our facility in Glenwood, Iowa (please make an appointment for an inspection). This Suzuki is offered on a clean California title. Have any Bandit 1200S stories or questions about this listing? Let us know in the comments!
