When Ben Bostrom was competing in AMA Superbike with a 998S, he raced with the number 155. So when Ducati decided to sell a limited edition replica, they sold 155 examples in the US, 155 examples in the UK, and another 155 for the rest of the world.

Ben signed every tank himself.

When it comes to limited edition Ducatis, the differences can sometimes just be cosmetic. In this case, the Bostrom rep got you Ohlins suspension, a blue frame, Marchesini wheels, and some carbon fiber pieces.

The US and UK bikes different slightly in that the UK “S” model got a hotted up engine and the US bikes got carbon fiber side panels. Shared upgrades for the “S” models in both markets included 4 pot Brembos, Ohlins steering damper, larger exhaust, and a carbon fiber belly pan.

This example (VIN: ZDM1SB5V92B015249) is #78 out of the 155 we got in the US.

The original owner had this until 2015 and put ~8,975 miles on it. He then sold it to his friend, who kept it in his living room for 5 years and only put 10 miles on it. The third owner acquired it in July, and he did not ride it all. The odometer shows 8,983 miles.

The bike was serviced in February with new belts, valve adjustment, new Yuasa battery, new DID X-ring gold chain, new air filters, and an oil change (Mobil 1).

Once it arrived here, she did not fire up: the gas was a little off so we flushed the tank, new tires and new fuel pump as the OEM pump failed. Also, one of the clipons was slightly bent due to the transporter using Canyon Dancers, so we sourced a new OEM set and replaced both. This week we put it up on Stephen’s lift to finalize it for sale – fresh tires, brake fluid flush, refinishing the brake master cylinder cap, installing missing metal vents in the fairing, and sorting out some little imperfections.

It’s equipped with an Arrow exhaust (original included) and Ducati Performance carbon fiber rear fender.
