Description
Please note: This bike was prepped for display in 2002 and it has not been started or ridden since that time.
Additional photos are available here for your perusal.

When Ben Bostrom was competing in WSBK with a 998S, he raced with the number 155. So when Ducati decided to sell a limited edition replica, they sold 155 examples in the US, 155 examples in the UK, and another 155 for the rest of the world.

Ben signed every tank himself.

When it comes to limited edition Ducatis, the differences can sometimes just be cosmetic. In this case, the Bostrom rep got you Ohlins suspension, a blue frame, Marchesini wheels, and some carbon fiber pieces.

USA “S” models got 4-pot Brembos, Ohlins steering damper, larger exhaust, and a carbon belly pan.

This example is VIN: ZDM1SB5V22B015268. The seller acquired the bike from the original owner in 2009.

It is #97/155.

The odometer shows two miles.

Maintenance:
During his ownership, the seller has not had cause to perform any maintenance as the bike has been on display. He notes that it was fog prepped by the first owner.
Modifications:
This 998S is completely stock.

Inside of the tank:

It is riding on its original Dunlop Sportmax Race Radial tires.

The sale includes two keys.

The sale also includes the original owner’s manuals, the original toolkit, a Ducati cover, as well as a rear stand, a Ben Bostrom baseball cap, two Suomy helmets signed by Ben Bostrom, and two copies of the August 2002 issue of Makes & Models Magazine in which the bike is featured.

Cosmetic Blemishes: please see the album up top for all known cosmetic blemishes. Here is a selection:

Currently located in Long Beach, California, this Ducati is offered on a clean California title with registration that expired in December of 2011. Per the CA DMV website, it would cost $136 to make registration current through December 2023.
