First unveiled at Intermot 2000, the NOX was Husqvarna’s take on a limited edition, no-holds-barred, top-shelf supermoto.
The NOX boasted a full blacked out color scheme including a vast array of carbon bodywork. Contrasting the trick woven pieces are several titanium and blue-anodized parts.
The Husky’s 240lb dry weight is pushed around by a torquey, ~60hp (at the crank at 8,300rpm), four-stroke 576cc single paired with a six-speed gearbox. The kick starter is on the left side.
Other highlights on the NOX include Brembo Monobloc calipers, Excel rims, tuned FCR carb, titanium fasteners throughout, and a full titanium exhaust.
It was only available for purchase online via the Husky website. Just 300 examples of the NOX were built, and depending on who you ask, 14-15 were originally imported to the US. A machined alloy plate cut into the shape of the trademark Husqvarna crown notes the individual serial number out of 300.
The NOX had the necessary equipment (mirrors, lighting, horn) to be street legal, though it also came with a race kit which included carbon fiber tank shrouds, titanium footpegs, and a carbon fiber seat base.
This example is VIN: ZCGTE61032V060462. It is #50 of the 300 NOXs built. The seller acquired it nineteen years ago from a private party.
During his ownership, the seller has covered roughly 750 kilometers. The odometer shows 1,101 kilometers (684 miles).
Modifications:
Small aftermarket turn signals. The originals (and right hand mirror) are included as part of an extensive factory spares package for both road and race setups.
It is currently set up to be street legal.
Cosmetic Blemishes: There are no significant blemishes, just some minor scratches/wear:
The seller states that there are no known mechanical issues. In preparation for the listing, we cleaned the carb, rebuilt the petcock, flushed the coolant system, and installed blue Samco hoses.
The seller notes that the rear brake light switch, horn, and turn signals currently do not work as the bike has some race kit parts installed. It has tremendous compression and requires skill as well as strength to kick start, but once it’s on it runs great.
It is currently equipped with the race kit titanium subframe. The stock aluminum subframe is included.
Also included is two keys, the service manual, and a stand.
It is riding on Pirelli Dragon Evo tires with date codes of 2001 and 2501.
The sale includes a Michelin front rain tire and Michelin rear slick that originally came with the bike when purchased new.
Currently located at our facility in Santa Monica, California (please make an appointment for an inspection), this Husqvarna is offered on a clean California title with registration current through April 2022.
