The Moto Guzzi LeMans Tenni was a limited production model produced only in ’02 and ’03. Just 170 examples were rolled out of the factory, and the most obvious difference is the custom paint scheme and large quasi-dustbin fairing.
It was named after Omobono Tenni, who was also know as the Black Devil or the Red Bullet. Tenni was most notably the first non-Brit to win the Isle of Man TT, but he was also a hugely successful competitor — he won some 47 races for Guzzi between 1933 and 1947. He was killed during a practice session for the Swiss GP. In addition to this limited edition V11, Guzzi honored Omobon with a monument in the factory museum.
Beyond the stylistic appeal, the Tenni was oozing with upgraded components. Along with a lightweight clutch and a set of fancy titanium-nitride coated forks, you also got some slick carbon fiber exhaust pipes. Moreover, Tenni owners even got an extra suede seat, which is a rarity in the modern age – certainly as a direct item from the manufacturer.
While the interior of the engine wasn’t touched, you still got a healthy 91 horses and 72 pound-feet of torque. For more information, head on over to the Moto Guzzi National Owners Club for a lengthy writeup from Kevin Hamann.

The seller is none other than the world-renowned actor and motorcycle enthusiast Ewan McGregor! After joining Iconic at our last Laguna Seca track day, he recently stopped by for a visit and brought with him five Moto Guzzis for sale.
The odometer shows 14,333 miles.
Ewan mentioned to us that he’s actually owned this bike twice. After selling it once he missed it and acquired it again – “I like it so much, the engines in these are amazing, they just pull and pull..” He previously had a V11 Sport (green with red frame) but loved the look of the Tenni. He’s selling this (and several other Guzzis) through Iconic to clear up some space in his garage.
