Additional photos of this 2003 Aprilia RSV Mille R Colin Edwards In Crate are available here for your perusal.

One of America’s motorcycling legends, Colin Edwards (nicknamed the “Texas Tornado”) joined MotoGP in 2003 after winning his second World Superbike Championship. His first season was with Aprilia, and unfortunately for him the bike wasn’t particularly competitive. In fact, the Cube was probably best known for catching fire at Sachsenring after the fuel cap fell off. Colin was thankfully uninjured and switched to Telefonica Movistar Honda the following year.

Aprilia celebrated Colin’s rookie MotoGP season with a limited edition of their RSV Mille R sport bike. Just 461 Edwards Replicas were built, featuring a livery that paid tribute to Colin’s bike.

It was based on the R-spec, which got upgraded forged aluminum rims, a shorter subframe, dual 320mm discs pinched by four-pot calipers, and carbon fiber fenders. In addition, the standard 43mm Showa fork and Sachs mono-shock were replaced by top-shelf Ohlins units.

This example is VIN: ZD4RPC0393S000087.

We are not able to get a photo of the odometer reading, but it has never been ridden.

Modifications:
This motorcycle is completely stock and is still in the original crate and plastic insulation from the factory. Please note that our usual shipping offer of $660 in the Continental US with Haul Bikes will not apply to this listing.

Cosmetic Blemishes:
We do not believe that there are any blemishes of note, however we are keeping the bikes in the plastic packaging and have not been able to closely inspect them.

Currently located at our facility in Santa Monica, California (please make an appointment for an inspection), this Aprilia is offered on a clean Oregon title. Have any RSV Mille stories or questions about this listing? Let us know in the “Comments” tab!
