Per a letter included in the listing from Susie Rossick, American Honda’s Manager of Corporate Advertising, this “Racing Kit” was given to select Honda automotive dealerships as a promotional item to feature Honda’s 2003 entrance into the Indy Racing League (IRL).
“This 2003 Racing Kit is filled with items to get you ready for the upcoming season. In it you will find our traditional racing poster featuring Honda’s 2003 IRL lineup as well as a 2003 racing t-shirt. Also included is a video highlighting Honda’s entrance into the IRL series and your very own Honda Racing lunchbox, thermos, and all.”
The display lunch box is 24″ long by 10″ wide by 18″ tall.
The fake/display thermos is 24″ long.
Inside the large promotional “lunch box” there is a normal-sized metal Honda lunch box with a real thermos (never been used) inside.
The kit also includes a poster and VHS tape.
