Retro-inspired modern classics seem to be all the rage right now, but a few companies were well-ahead of the game. Two of the most notable examples are currently available on Iconic Motorbike Auctions – the Ducati SportClassic and today’s feature, a Kawasaki ZRX1200R. Cycle World called the ZRX “a replica of a replica“, as it was designed to make you think of the iconic 1982 Eddie Lawson Replica.
It was available in a variety of colors such as silver, blue, and red, but the one you want is obviously the traditional Kawasaki Green!
The 1,164cc DOHC liquid-cooled engine produced 123 horsepower, good for a top speed of over 120 mph. It’s fun but also comfortable if you’re the kind of person that wants to ride for hours at a time – especially as this has an aftermarket (we believe but are not 100% sure that it’s a Corbin) seat.
That’s not the only upgrade to this Kawi (VIN: JKAZR9A133A027520) – the seller’s got an impressive list of modifications which include Carrozzeria wheels, Ohlins suspension front and rear, Brembo rotors, Brembo RCS19 brake and clutch master cylinders, Muzzy exhaust, CRG mirrors, and Supersprox rear sprocket.
This ZRX is in great cosmetic shapes, with minimal wear marks that correspond to 15,106 miles of use.
The sale includes the stock seat, wheels, and a clear LED taillight.
This is a well-modified Rex in the best color scheme – what more could you ask for?
