Introduced in 2003, the CBR600RR marked a dramatic shift in how Honda developed sports bikes. Project Leader Hiroyuki Ito stated, “we developed the RR in a completely different way from any model in the past. In the past Honda has always developed a road bike, then modified it for racing. But with the RR, we first built a prototype racer, then gave it to the production department.”

The CBR600RR benefited from Honda’s learning with the RC211V MotoGP racebike with enhancements like the Unit Pro-Link rear suspension, Honda’s new dual stage fuel injection, and the gorgeous under-tail exhaust. New Hollow Fine Die-Cast frame technology reduced weight and the freshly designed engine produced a reported 117 hp, enough for speeds up to 160 mph.

This example is VIN: JH2PC37184M101234. The seller acquired it from a private party in 2021.

During his ownership, the seller covered approximately 1,000 miles. The odometer shows 4,551 miles.

“Purchased in 2021 from what I was told was the 2nd owner. He had a shop do a full tune up on the bike and replace all fluids. I was told the first owner was a pilot who drove the bike for a few years and parked it. That’s why the miles are low.” The owner is selling this to get a 2018-2021 Triumph Speed Triple RS.
Maintenance:
“I flushed the radiator last year. I changed the oil once a year, most recently in April of 2025. New brake pads front and rear and brake fluid replaced. I don’t have the documents, I did the maintenance myself. Tires replaced in Jan of 25, brand new Battlax S22R date code 3724. New Shorai battery.” The seller states that there are no known mechanical issues.
Modifications:
“I added an Ohlins rear shock, Yoshimura RS-5 slip on exhaust, Vortex rear sets, Vortex sprockets and chain (one down in the front two up in the rear), GPR steering damper, Motion Pro quick turn throttle, steel braided brake lines, Honda seat cowl, integrated led tail light and led front turn signals, and gear indicator. I have all the stock parts except for the chain/sprocket set.”

It is riding on Bridgestone Battlax Hypersport S22 tires with date codes of 3724 and 3724.

The sale includes 2 ignition keys, the owner’s manual, and the stock parts that were replaced with the upgrades.
