Retro-inspired modern classics seem to be all the rage right now, but a few companies were well-ahead of the game. One of the most notable efforts was the Kawasaki ZRX1200R – Cycle World called it “a replica of a replica“, as it was designed to make you think of the iconic 1982 Eddie Lawson Replica.
The 1,164cc DOHC liquid-cooled engine produced 123 horsepower, good for a top speed of over 120 mph. It’s fun but also comfortable if you’re the kind of person that wants to ride for hours at a time. It was available in silver, blue, green, and a distinctive red that paid homage to iconic Kawis of the past like the GPz900.
This example is VIN: JKAZR9A124A035397. The seller acquired it ten months ago from a private party. The seller “bought it from a friend mostly as my garage queen, loved it but moving now and have no room.”
During his ownership he has covered roughly 600 miles. The odometer shows 42,729 miles.
