Click here for an VINData Motorcycle History Report on this 2004 Moto Guzzi V11 Coppa Italia.
An evolution of the incredible V7, the V11 was a rare bruiser of a sportbike. Moto Guzzi enlisted Luciano Marabese to design a new model around the 1100 engine, resulting in an early expression of today’s neo-retro cafe craze.
One of the rarest versions of the V11, the Coppa Italia was built to commemorate Guzzi’s success in the National Naked Bike Championship of the Roadster Cup in their home country of Italy in 2003. To properly pay tribute to a racer, this Coppa Italia was adorned with top of the line components like Brembo Gold Line brakes, Ohlins forks, shock, and steering damper, and an optional $2,000 exhaust.
The 1,064cc engine was good for 91 horsepower, and the trick bits arguably turned this into the nicest of the V11 offerings, assuming you’re OK with one of the Italian firm’s busier paint schemes. For more information on this rare bike, check out this review from Ultimate Motorcycling here.
This example is VIN: ZGUKTC0294M111290. The seller purchased the bike approximately a year and a half ago from a private collector out of Oregon and states, “I had long admired the Coppa Italia, and came across a compelling listing for one. It was owned by an elderly collector in Oregon, who had fun moto journey stories to tell. The bike was (and is) in fantastic condition, and long story short, he sold me on the bike. He was the second owner and, aside from one round trip to The Quail, had ridden it sparingly. I hate to let it go, but I don’t have time to ride it and don’t want to have a static collection of display bikes.”
The odometer shows 6,339 miles.
Maintenance:
The seller has stored the bike with Iconic for for quite some time and we have taken care of it in various stages since the start of 2024. In January of that year, we performed a basic service including changing the fluids, battery, tires, and adjusted the valve clearances. In April 2024 we had the engine guards and valve covers powder coated. We are happy to provide the winning bidder these records.
