Holding the title of the first Brutale generation that MV Agusta made, the Brutale 750 was the newest model for the Italian company, debuting originally in 2002. The 750 took the best parts of the tried-and-true F4 like the radial 16-valve engine and the chassis that cradled the EVO3 motor and adopted them in the shape of a naked superbike.
The engine came with the pre-existing changes found in the original F4, such as Mahle cylinders paired with forged pistons, which was good for 127 bhp and 59 lb-ft, all mated to a 6-speed DOHC transmission, offering the high-revving performance expected from the Italian brand’s superbikes. 49mm Showa forks were combined with a Sachs monoshock to provide a sporty and handling-biased ride for any potential owner. As Visor Down wrote in their review of the Brutale 750 S, the motorcycle is “A barking mad bike, but stylish and interesting from every angle with plenty of power.”
