With the end of the popular ‘Boxer Cup’ in 2004, BMW sought to commemorate the final season of the racing series with it’s own edition of the very bike they used in the races – the R1100S. The series was surprisingly fun to watch, with names like Randy Mamola and Kevin Schwantz taking part.
The ‘Boxer Cup’ edition came to market only from 2003-2005, offering a premium, more track-friendly package, packed full with features. The flat-twin sized up at 1085cc, putting out approximately 98 horsepower and 72 lb-ft of torque.

The Boxer Cup Replika came from the factory with a Laser exhuast, carbon fiber parts throughout, steel-braided lines brake lines, and upgraded Öhlins suspension. With a shortened paralever arm paired to the stiffer suspension, ground clearance was increased, especially when cornering. With the newer R1200S coming to market in 2006, the R1100S remained a motorcyclist’s dream for reliving the day’s of racing past.
