Click here for an VINData Motorcycle History Report on this 2005 BMW R1100S Boxer Cup Replika.
With the end of the popular ‘Boxer Cup’ in 2004, BMW sought to commemorate the final season of the racing series with it’s own edition of the very bike they used in the races – the R1100S. The series was surprisingly fun to watch, with names like Randy Mamola and Kevin Schwantz taking part.
The ‘Boxer Cup’ edition came to market only from 2003-2005, offering a premium, more track-friendly package, packed full with features. The flat-twin sized up at 1085cc, putting out approximately 98 horsepower and 72 lb-ft of torque.
The Boxer Cup Replika came from the factory with a Laser exhuast, carbon fiber parts throughout, steel-braided lines brake lines, and upgraded Öhlins suspension. With a shortened paralever arm paired to the stiffer suspension, ground clearance was increased, especially when cornering. With the newer R1200S coming to market in 2006, the R1100S remained a motorcyclist’s dream for reliving the day’s of racing past.
Manufactured June 2004, this example is VIN: WB10432A65ZB54615. The seller purchased the bike seven years ago and states, “I searched for 2 years to find a clean red, white, and blue BCR, and I found what I believe can be the best 2005 Boxer Cup Replika in the country with less than 3,000 miles. I purchased the bike from the original owner who was associated with Max BMW in New York. After he rode it about 1,800 miles, it spent most of its life in Max BMW’s display showcase until it was fully dealer serviced and back on the road. I love turning heads on the road or at bike shows. Very fun to ride and sounds great with the factory Laser exhaust.”
During his ownership, the seller has covered approximately 950 miles. The odometer shows 2,955 miles.
Maintenance:
Per the seller, “At 1,800 miles, Max BMW did a full dealer maintenance including valve check, throttle body sync, all fluids changed, and tires. Bike ridden regularly, gas changed regularly, and fluids changed annually by owner.”
Modifications:
“Dealer installed Ohlins shocks.”
It is riding on Michelin Pilot Power tires with date codes of 2115 and 3715.
The sale includes two keys, rider’s manual, and foot pegs
Cosmetic Blemishes: please see the album up top for all known cosmetic blemishes. Here is a selection:
