Introduced in 1985 as a 4-stroke successor to the 2-stroke Aero, the Elite 80 was the smallest member of the Elite family which also included a 125 and a 250. The 80 was incredibly well-designed and popular, which was reflected in the fact that it has a 20+ year production run in which Honda barely changed it.

Over the years, Honda added aluminum wheels in 1989, redesigned the headlight so that you could replace the bulb without having to swap out the entire light assembly in 2001, and upgraded the front drum brake in 2005.

In a 2004 press release, Honda noted that silver was joining red as a paint option for 2005.

The seller of this example (VIN: 3H1HF03175D000101) acquired it three months ago from a family member. Since then he’s covered approximately 100 miles. The odometer now shows 1,815 miles.

This low-mileage Elite is highly stock – the only upgrades are a Honda accessory top case as well as an aftermarket sunglasses holder that could be easily removed.

It is still on the original tires.

Cosmetic Blemishes:
The seller notes “some peeling of surface coating on the engine exterior and some scratches underneath the passenger foot pegs.

He states that there are no mechanical issues.

The sale includes two keys, two spare NGK spark plugs, and the original tool kit.

Currently located in Pasadena, California, this Honda is offered on a clean California title with registration current through July 2021.
