Retro-inspired modern classics seem to be all the rage right now, but a few companies were well-ahead of the game. One of the most notable efforts was the Kawasaki ZRX1200R – Cycle World called it “a replica of a replica“, as it was designed to make you think of the iconic 1982 Eddie Lawson Replica.

The 1,164cc DOHC liquid-cooled engine produced 123 horsepower, good for a top speed of over 120 mph. It’s fun but also comfortable if you’re the kind of person that wants to ride for hours at a time.

It was available in silver, red, blue, and of course: Kawi Green.

This example is VIN: JKAZR9A1X5A039408. The seller acquired it one year ago from a friend.

Maintenance:
“The bike was already serviced when I got it. I hardly got any miles on it and does not need anything. Need some tires.”
Modifications:
Ohlins forks, Galfer rotors, steel braided lines.

Aftermarket fork brace, ELS fork covers.

Adjustable brake and clutch levers, Domino grips.

It is riding on Bridgestone Battlax Hypersport S21 tires with date codes of 3321 and 3721.
