Retro-inspired modern classics seem to be all the rage right now, but a few companies were well-ahead of the game. One of the most notable efforts was the Kawasaki ZRX1200R – Cycle World called it “a replica of a replica“, as it was designed to make you think of the iconic 1982 Eddie Lawson Replica.

It was available in silver, red, blue, and of course: Kawi Green.

The 1,164cc DOHC liquid-cooled engine produced 123 horsepower, good for a top speed of over 120 mph. It’s fun but also comfortable if you’re the kind of person that wants to ride for hours at a time.

Manufactured in September of 2004, this this example is VIN: JKAZR9A195A039190. The seller acquired it in February 2021 from a private party in San Diego.

Since then, he’s covered approximately 300 miles. The odometer shows 28,337 miles.

Per the seller, the bike is completely stock except for an aftermarket windscreen.

The sale includes one key.

During his ownership, the seller changed the oil/filter, installed new brake pads, and new Michelin Road 5 tires – the date codes are 4219 and 2820.

He states that there are no known mechanical issues: “it is in excellent condition and runs great.”

Currently located at our facility in Santa Monica, California (please make an appointment for an inspection), this Kawasaki is offered on a clean California title with registration current through July 2022.
