When MV released the 750cc version of the F4, they started with a special edition called the Oro. 5 years later, they did the same thing to introduce the 1000cc bike with the MV Agusta F4 1000 AGO.
The 2005 update bumped power up to 166 horses and top speed up to 184 miles per hour. The upgraded engine was surrounded by quality components such as 50mm Marzocchi front forks, Sachs shock, and Nissin brakes, but for many riders the styling (particularly the quad organ pipe exhaust) stole the show.
The AGO (built to honor Giacomo Agostini) was limited to 300 examples and it was differentiated with a red/white/green livery, the number 1 in yellow ovals and “AGO” decals on the mirrors.
Under Ago’s tenure, MV won fourteen world championships, ten Tourist Trophies, and over 250 races.
This example is VIN: ZCGAKFGMX5V100034. It is #88 of the 300 units built.
The odometer shows 22,467 miles.
Maintenance:
In preparation for the listing, the shop change the oil/filter, flushed the clutch/front brake/rear brake fluid, flushed the gas, removed some hot glue from the insides of the carbon fairing, replaced the headlight fuse, and installed new Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV tires.
Alex and Yonni did the work, They note that the brakes are at 60%/90% front/rear and that there is an HID headlight conversion – the high beam works but the low beam does not. They recommend a headlight rewire to go back to stock.
Modifications:
Carbon fiber side panels and belly pan.
BST carbon fiber wheels.
Magura levers.
Aftermarket HID headlight conversion.
Extras:
The sale includes the stock fairings and belly pan, as well as a bike cover, an MV Agusta hat, a certificate of authenticity, an owner’s manual, and several other extras.
