In 2002, Yamaha debuted their take on the “power cruiser” – the Road Star Warrior was a 1,670cc V-Twin bruiser that stood out thanks to the use of a very stiff aluminum frame. Motorcycle Daily said, “from a handling perspective, it pretty clearly represents the most aggressive, and nimble, power cruiser yet.”
The engine was bored out compared to the unit in the regular Road Start, plus it got new cylinders/cylinder heads, air intake, fuel injection, and exhaust. Yamaha claimed 80 horsepower and 104 pound-feet of torque at the rear wheel.
For 2005, they added a “Midnight” variant which blacked out just about everything that was shiny on the original, leaving just red stripes on the rims as the only dash of color.

Maintenance:
“Razee did a recall on the ignition system shortly after purchase and since bike has only had the rear tire replaced due to pickup a nail several years ago. Oil has been changed every season as well as a new battery about every two years. I have the original seat, factory Yamaha service manual as well as owners manual and I believe one OEM oil filter to go with the bike.”
Mechanical Issues:
“Other than the tires being dated there are no mechanical issues with this motorcycle.”

It is riding on the original Dunlop tires that have aged out.
