Description

Please Note: some photos show a seat cowl from the previous time this was listed, however that unfortunately flew off during a test ride and we were unable to source a replacement. The sale does not include a cowl and we are letting this go with no reserve so it’s guaranteed to find a new home.

Additional photos of this Cagiva V-Raptor are available here for your perusal.

The Cagiva V-Raptor was designed as alternative to the Ducati Monster – they were even styled by the same man (Miguel Galluzzi).

Though there are plenty of similarities between the Ducati and the Cagiva, the Raptor comes with the V-Twin heart from a Suzuki TL.

While the Suzuki V-Twin made 124 horsepower in the TL, it has been detuned to about 105 in the Cagiva. The base model was simply called the Raptor, and it looks an awful lot like a base Monster. The “V-Raptor” model got an extra 7 horsepower, different bars, and the crazy headlight cowl.

Of course, we can’t mention the V-Raptor’s styling without highlighting the “claw” passenger peg mounts.

MCN called itsmall, fast, and unstable on rough surfaces and stacks of fun.”

This example is VIN: ZCGM201AA4V0003799.

The odometer shows 30,878 kilometers (19,186 miles).

This bike came us from a collection in South Africa. Maintenance history is not known, so in preparation for the listing we installed EBC front brake pads, flushed the front/rear brakes, flushed the coolant, rebuilt the forks, installed new spark plugs, installed a new battery, changed the engine oil/filter, and gave it a detail. Angel did the work, he notes that the brake pads are at 100%/75% front/rear.

We also installed a new set of Pirelli Diablo Rosso Corsa II tires with date codes of 3921 and 4021.

Modifications:
Leo Vince dual exhaust.

Aftermarket tank protector.

Battery tender lead.

Cosmetic Blemishes: please see the album up top for all known cosmetic blemishes. Here is a selection:
