At the turn of the millennium, the MV Agusta brand was revived with the release of a new flagship, the 750cc F4. Penned by the great Massimo Tamburini, the F4 boasted a ground-breaking design that redefined the modern superbike. In the years that followed, the F4 underwent a series of revisions and model updates, though the bike’s incredible aesthetics went largely unchanged.
Underneath the proverbial hood, however, progress was constant. In 2005, MV Agusta updated the F4 series with a 998cc engine, which bumped power up to 166 horses and top speed up to 184 miles per hour.
The upgraded engine was surrounded by quality components such as 50mm Marzocchi front forks, Sachs shock, and Brembo calipers.
Of course, it was the styling (particularly the quad organ pipe exhaust) that stole the show for many riders.
This example is VIN: ZCGAKFGM36V200235. Per the seller, “Purchased from San Francisco Sports Cars collection. Move forced a sale, but I loved the bike so much that I located the buyer and purchased it back through Iconic. Between the two chapters of ownership, I’ve owned the bike for a total of six years.”
During his ownership, the seller has covered approximately 5,500 miles. The odometer shows 7,408 miles.
Maintenance:
The seller states that, “all maintenance is up to date. Been performed by Mark (Only Mark) at ProItalia. Everything from hydraulic fluids to filters, coolant, brakes, plugs, etc. New upgraded water pump. Ceramic wheel and head bearings. Happy for interested parties to contact ProItalia for a summary and condition report.”
He adds that it “does everything as good as an F4 1000 will ever do. Best example hands down, as I’ve been told by any person that’s worked and/or ridden it.”
Modifications:
Powder-coated wheels. “I had a second set of OEM wheels professionally powder-coated in an anthracite — the quality is better than factory.”
Full RaceTech Gold Series forks and shock internals upgrade. Brembo Z04 front pads.
Design Corse Bodis Titanium cat delete and link-pipe, free-flow muffler and exhaust. “A custom eprom has been mapped by a renowned UK MV specialist Adam Colley.”
