In 2005, MV Agusta updated the F4 series with a 998cc engine, which bumped power up to 166 horses and top speed up to 184 miles per hour.
The upgraded engine was surrounded by quality components such as 50mm Marzocchi front forks, Sachs shock, and Nissin brakes, but for many riders the styling (particularly the quad organ pipe exhaust) stole the show.
The seller of this example (VIN: ZCGAKFGM36V200235) acquired it two and a half years ago from a private collection in San Francisco.
During his ownership, he has put on approximately 1,500 miles. The odometer now reads 6,793 miles.
There are several upgrades, starting with a Translogic quickshifter (GP Shift).
Full Race Tech Gold Valve fork and shock custom valve kits – done in June 2020.
Brembo Corsa Corta brake master cylinder.
Open muffler and Design Corse cat delete.
New sprockets (front and rear) and 520 chain.
Tail tidy and Pit Bull rear stand.
The rear turn signals have been relocated inside the rear air vents.
You’ll also get a radiator support bracket, Samco hose kit, and K&N air filter. It has a custom EPROM from Adam Colley, a MV specialist in the UK. “It has smoothened out the power curve and noted as one of the MVs of this gen that runs like a new bike. He’s a magician. Dyno work was done by John Ethell of JETT Tuning.”
The JETT dyno showed that this F4 makes 153 horsepower at the rear linear with a linear powerband.
The seller acquired a spare set of wheels and powder-coated them anthracite. If the next owner prefers, the bike can instead come with the original silver wheels, which are “in perfect condition.” The second image shows the bike with the original wheels, rear sets, and rear fender.
There are no mechanical or cosmetic issues to report, and the seller notes that it has 3M clear wrap on the front fairing and lights.
The sale includes the original rear sets, sprockets, brake master cylinder, rear license plate holder (no turn signals), catalytic converter, and a trickle charger.
It has been fully maintained and the seller has documentation for all work performed – recent maintenance includes new brake pads front and rear, new fluids (Motul synthetic) and coolant, front wheel bearings, and an air filter. All service work has been performed by Tony Forster, with the exception of wheel bearings (Pro Italia) and the suspension (Race Tech). All this MV needs is a new rider, as the seller is letting this go to help fund the purchase of a home. Have any F4 stories or questions about the listing? Let us know in the comments below.
