At the turn of the millennium, the MV Agusta brand was revived with the release of a new flagship, the 750cc F4. Penned by the great Massimo Tamburini, the F4 boasted a ground-breaking design that redefined the modern superbike. In the years that followed, the F4 underwent a series of revisions and model updates, though the bike’s incredible aesthetics went largely unchanged.

Underneath the proverbial hood, however, progress was constant. In 2005, MV Agusta updated the F4 series with a 998cc engine, which bumped power up to 166 horses and top speed up to 184 miles per hour.

The upgraded engine was surrounded by quality components such as 50mm Marzocchi front forks, Sachs shock, and Nissin brakes, but for many riders the styling (particularly the quad organ pipe exhaust) stole the show.

This example is VIN: ZCGAKFGM66V100307.

The odometer shows 9,300 miles.

Per the seller, the “bike has recently received a $2,000 service by Chad Wells at Commonwealth Motorcycles in Louisville, Kentucky. Service included the following:
– new battery
– oil service
– flush brake and clutch fluids
– flush coolant system
– replace fan relay
– replace spark plugs
– clean and sync throttle bodies
– adjust TPS and throttle cable
– chain service
– replace broken alternator o-ring and starter

In preparation for the listing, we gave it a detail, rebuilt the fuel pump sender unit, installed a new Mahle fuel filter, removed the Power Commander (it was causing issues), and installed new Pirelli Diablo Rosso II tires from 2021. Alex did the work and notes that the brake pads are at 60% front and rear.

Modifications:
Bodis full titanium exhaust, Bodis titanium mid-pipe.

Gutsy Performance keyless gas cap.

CRG RC2 adjustable levers.

Aftermarket clutch slave cylinder, carbon fiber heel guards.

Moto Corse rear sets, CNC oil fill cap.

Moto Corse frame plugs, aftermarket battery tender lead.

Moto Corse master cylinder reservoir caps.

Design Corse leather neoprene seat.

F4 1000 branded tank protector.

Zero Gravity tinted windscreen.

Clear tail light lenses.

Aluminum counterweights handlebar kit.

Not pictured is a Samco Sport silicon radiator coolant hose kit in red, stainless steel radiator hose clamp, and an upgraded water pump.
