MV Agusta is one of the grand old nameplates in motorcycling, steeped in racing tradition. From its inception to 1976, the company would win some 270 Grand Prix roadraces and take home 27 world titles (and they’d eventually add on another 10). Some of the greatest talent ever to race on two wheels: John Surtees, Mike Hailwood, Giacomo Agostini, and Phil Read all rode Count Domenico Agusta’s wailing race-bikes.
After decades of racing dominance, MV Agusta started to flounder after the death of the Agusta brothers who founded the company. They piddled around until being purchased by Cagiva in 1991 – but it took nearly another decade for the company to start making bikes again. The end result was stunning F4 superbike. In 2005, MV Agusta updated their F4 platform with a 1,078 cc engine, giving the company an ultra-competitive player in the liter-class sportbike wars. The next year they introduced a variant called the CC – which stood for the founder of Cagiva (MV’s parent company at the time), Claudio Castiglioni. Only 100 F4CCs were built, with less than 20 making it stateside.
90% of the parts are handmade and constructed from better, lighter material wherever possible: the gearbox housing is magnesium, as are the frame sideplates and swingarm. Everything that can be made from carbon fiber is made from carbon fiber. Even the little vent mesh inserts are made from titanium instead of steel.
At 413 pounds, the F4CC is a lightweight beast, undercutting the entire history of the F4 lineup with the exception of the 750 Oro. The F4CC is the bike that MV Agusta President Claudio Castiglioni wanted, which is why it was built and where it gets its name – plus his signature on the tail and the tank. “I decided to put my name to this bike as I originally dreamed of it for myself.”
The engine was built by MV’s racing department, boring the standard F4R motor out to 1,078cc and utilizing lighter pistons, stronger connecting rods, titanium valves, bigger throttle bodies, and variable-length velocity stacks. They paired that with a race ECU and titanium exhaust. MV claimed they were able to shave out 8.8 pounds from the drivetrain and bump up horsepower by 10 to 200. MV claims that they limited top speed to 195 miles per hour because there wasn’t a production tire available at the time that was rated to go faster.

Maintenance:
“I did a major service in 2015 including Motocorse water impeller upgrade, Muzzy aluminum fan blades and all fluids including coolant, brake, clutch, oil, filter. I have all original parts including ECU which was also upgraded. The bike was stored with non-ethanol Sunoco 94 Octane Race fuel, I have performed additional oil and filter changes myself over the years.
There are no mechanical issues, she runs beautifully.”

It is riding on the original Pirelli Dragon Supercorsa Pro tires from 2006.
The sale includes 2 ignition keys, Certificate of Authenticity, CD-ROM, owner’s manual, F4 CC cover, OEM MV Agusta red rear stand, and a MV Corse rear stand.
It also includes the Girard-Perregaux Laureato EVO3 F4CC watch and Trussardi F4CC leather jacket that came with the bike when new.
Additional extras include “OEM F4CC t-Shirt (the only one I know of in existence) from the 2007 Motorcycle Show at the Javitz Center in NYC. Letter from Greenwich Concours D’Elegance recognizing entry, and jack lift stand. Further, this is the only CC signed by Giacomo.”
Lastly, the sale includes all stock parts, including the original water impeller.
