Nicky Hayden was a Tissot ambassador, and the Swiss luxury watchmaker celebrated that fact with annual releases of Limited Edition watches inspired by Nicky and his MotoGP career – they had similar arrangements at the time with Danica Patrick and Michael Owen.
Here’s what Tissot had to say in their Certificate of Authenticity: “In a world where precision and timing are key, Nicky Hayden, the US rising star on the MotoGP circuit (at present #3 in the world), certainly knows the importance of counting every second. No surprise therefore that, as Tissot’s new MotoGP ambassador, a dedicated Hayden signature watch should be created for him, in his characteristic team colour of orange, with carbon-fibre dial and bearing his lucky number “69” engraved on the back with his signature and limited edition number.” This example is #173 out of 4,999.
