The Suzuki SV650 is like the modern day Honda CB750. 700cc standard bikes are common these days, but 10 years ago the choices were limited to the Ducati Monster and the Suzuki SV650. Suzuki’s 645cc V-twin has since been written in trackday folklore, eventually becoming stuck in time itself as the market made their preferences clear.
The bike has barely changed since 2000, and is still offered in showrooms today. In 2003 and 2004, Cycle World praised the SV650 and the SV650S as the Best Standard Bike. The SV650S model came with bigger fairings and more aggressive clip-ons for those who wanted the looks and feel of something sportier.
Manufactured in September of 2005, this example is VIN: JS1VP53A862102009. The seller purchased this motorcycle from the original owner 10 years ago.
The odometer shows 13,900 miles. The seller has put roughly 3,500 miles on this example.
Maintenance:
The seller states they have had this motorcycle maintained by SF Moto. The services included flushing the coolant and various fluids, installing a new chain and sprockets, and a safety inspection.
In preparation for the listing, the seller had us perform a safety inspection. Lalo did the work, he notes the following in his condition report:
