Not many motorcycles bear a name as iconic as the Triumph Bonneville, the flagship cruiser from the Hinckley-based manufacturer. Originally brought to market in 1959, the Bonneville underwent quite a few changes at the turn of the century. For 2006, the Bonneville featured a 790cc parallel-twin engine putting 61 bhp to the tarmac, while a notoriously smooth 5-speed transmission helped move the 451 pound bike along.
The Bonneville – now also known as the resurrected ‘T100’ – was the culmination of both decades of experience from the British company and an outpouring of nostalgia from their audience.
It was the same T100 that the seller decided to use as the foundation for their custom build. We’ll defer to the seller for more information on this custom: “With only 6000 miles on the clock, this one of one Bonneville has been meticulously cared for, and its extensive list of modifications showcases a dedication to both form and function. From the custom Black Canyon TT Wheels to the meticulously painted side covers featuring the ghost metallic British Union Jack Flag, every detail has been carefully considered.
The bike’s exceptional condition, coupled with its prestigious Quail Motorcycle Gathering pedigree, attests to the care and craftsmanship that has gone into its creation. Stored in a climate-controlled garage under cover, it’s been sheltered from the elements, ensuring it retains its beauty for years to come.”
Manufactured in November of 2005, this example is VIN: SMT900HN26J255261. The seller purchased the original bone-stock motorcycle five years ago from a private party.
The odometer shows 4,216 miles. The seller has put approximately 1,200 miles on this example.
