2007 Ducati 1098S

After the polarizing style of the 999’s vertically-stacked headlights, Ducati went back to the single sided swingarm, exhaust under the taillights, and side by side eyes made famous on the 916 – this time with a modern twist.

It was well-received – Cycle World said “On the road the 1098S isn’t just an improvement, it’s a revelation.” The 1099cc Testastretta Evoluzione twin engine produced a claimed 160 horsepower and 90 lb-ft of torque at the crank, good for a 10.015 second quarter-mile time and a top speed of 173 miles per hour.

Ducati offered an upgraded S model, which featured Öhlins suspension, forged Marchesini wheels, and some extra carbon fiber bits.

This example is VIN: ZDMH700AA7B005921. It came to Iconic as an import from Japan. Please note that as a Japanese import, this does not have certain emissions decals that California would require to get a California title.

The odometer shows 16,937 kilometers (10,524 miles).

Maintenance:
In preparation for the listing, we replaced the battery, the oil and oil filter, the brake fluid, and the coolant. Additionally, we serviced the chain, repaired the rear seat pad, and gave the bike a heavy detail. Angel did the work, he notes the following in his condition report:
