Ducati kicked off its range of SportClassic bikes with the Sport1000 in 2005. Taking inspiration from the 1973 Ducati 750 Sport, the model combined the look of a classic lightweight single-seat cafe racer and the feel of a modern sport bike. It used a two-valve 1000DS motor stuffed in a trellis tube frame with a 56.1 in wheelbase.
This example is VIN: ZDM1WABP96B004682. The seller acquired this motorcycle two years ago from a private party in California.
The odometer shows 8,857 miles. The seller has put 2,000 miles on this example.
Maintenance:
Per the seller, they have installed a new battery, tires, and performed a Desmo service with a belt change and valve adjustment.
