For 2006, Suzuki bestowed their legendary GSX-R600 with a new engine and a new chassis – making it the lightest, most powerful, and fastest GSX-R600 yet. It became more compact (25mm shorter in height and 15mm shorter in length even though the swingarm was extended more better stability) and a new fuel injection system featuring twin injectors helped yield 125 claimed horsepower out of the 599cc inline-four engine.

A restyle made the 600 look more like its bigger brother GSX-R1000, becoming 5% more aerodynamic in the process.

Suzuki also added some conveniences like adjustable footpegs, gear position indicator, and a slipper clutch. But the engine was the star of the show: per a Visor Down review, “Accelerating on the GSX-R600 isn’t just about the smooth build up of speed, it’s also an aural treat. There has long been a running battle between Kawasaki and Suzuki over who can get an airbox to make the most noise, and currently Suzuki leads the way with the GSX-R.”

Manufactured in July of 2006, this example is VIN: JSIGN7DA772100794, Engine #: N732-133650. The seller is the original owner, he purchased it new from the dealership in 2015.

The odometer shows 20,685 kilometers (12,853 miles).
